The Job
Dave, in Oldham, had a rat infestation in his loft. When we went up, there were five dead rats in the loft.
Why Dead Rats Change the Job
Dead rats bring a smell and flies with them, and the insulation around them is contaminated along with the droppings and urine. None of it can be cleaned where it lies, so the carcasses and the insulation all had to come out before the loft could be decontaminated.
What We Did
- Removed the five dead rats.
- Took out all of the old insulation.
- Decontaminated the whole loft.
- Filled the two areas where the rats were getting in.
The Result
The carcasses and the old insulation are gone, the whole loft has been decontaminated, and the two ways in have been filled. If you have rats in your loft, or a smell that might be a dead one, send a couple of photos through the quote form or call 0161 524 5081. There is more on how we handle these lofts on our rodent-damaged loft insulation page.
